The Foundation for Appraisal Education is the publisher of the annual Journal of Advanced Appraisal Studies. The Journal is a unique annual publication written and edited specifically for personal property appraisers. The content includes original research articles, reviews and topical discussions of professional appraisal issues and concerns from a variety of perspectives, theories and approaches. The journal seeks contributions from many nationally and internationally recognized personal property appraisers and from appraisal related industries such as auction houses, insurance brokers, museums and cultural property conservators.
The mission of the Foundation is to " promote the advancement of education related to personal property appraising." By advancing personal property appraisal scholarship and encouraging appraisers to publish, the Journal becomes an effective and important component in the fundamental mission of the Foundation for Appraisal Education. With each passing year the annual publication of the journal advances appraisal scholarship, theory and principles and is quickly becoming the publication of record for the personal property appraising community.
